Janice Sheridan has been in clinical practice for 29 years. She completed her undergraduate work at Southern Illinois University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Psychology. She then attended St. Louis University and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work.
Janice began her professional career in community mental health which included counseling, school and hospital social work. She has been in private practice since 1987. Janice has additional training in couples and family therapy, trauma and abuse issues and parenting. She specializes in working with couples to improve communication and relationship skills, trauma and abuse issues, depression, and anxiety. She works with individuals, couples and families.
The therapeutic relationship is very important to Janice. She focuses on the whole person and encourages and supports them to build on their own strengths to change thoughts and actions that cause them pain. She supports and guides her clients to achieve healing and personal growth. Janice is a skilled practioner who uses her compassion and expertise to help her clients makes changes. She creates a safe environment for this to happen.
