Dr. Robert Clipper has been in clinical practice for 29 years. He earned his doctorate from St. Louis University in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. His MA degree is in clinical psychology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and his BA degree is in psychology from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville.
He has worked in private practice since 1986 and has been a consultant, providing clinical counseling services to McKendree College students and staff, where he has also taught various classes in psychology. His practice is varied with an emphasis on families, couples and children.
Bob has been an evaluator for numerous judicial circuits in southern Illinois in cases involving custody disputes. He is a trained mediator and also offers such services assisting with divorce and custody negotiation. In the past he has worked in community mental health, employee assistance, and also did child abuse investigations for the state of Illinois. In 2013, Bob became a certified trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach which is a dynamic, engaging approach to working with children that empowers them to channel their intensity in productive ways by awakening, activating and sharing the greatness within them and uses this in his practice.
