Sheri Miller, MS, LMFT, LCPC, ABSP-CC

 Sheri graduated with her B.S. ED and M.S. from Northern Illinois University in 1983 and has over 30 years experience in the field. Post graduation, she also attended Virginia State University and The College of William and Mary, where she was trained in Play Therapy. Sheri is a clinical member of AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy) and is an active member in the IAMFT (Illinois Association of Marriage and Family Therapy), where she spent 5 years serving on the Board of Directors and held other positions in the association. Prior to coming to O’Fallon, Sheri spent many years developing and teaching various workshops and programs to Army personnel and their families. During this time, she ran groups for survivors of sexual abuse, teen anger management, and children coping with divorce. Sheri’s areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, separation anxiety, children, adolescents, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADD/ADHD parenting and family issues. In 2005, she attained a “Certified Consultant” credential from the American Board of Sport Psychology and is expanding her practice to include working with athletes to improve their mental game. In 2013 she became a certified trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach which is a dynamic, engaging approach to working with children that empowers them to channel their intensity in productive ways by awakening, activating and sharing the greatness within them and uses this in her practice. Sheri is also doing parent education training in the Nurtured Heart Approach and presenting workshops to school personnel as requested.
